Hi everyone. I found out 18 months ago I have crohns the fun way, I.e. perforated intestine, sepsis, emergency surgery. Since then I've tried eating healthily (flared after a few months), prednisone, budesonide + azathioprine, budesonide + 6mp and now just on budesonide waiting for remicade approval.
I am a little anxious about the biologics but more anxious about getting sepsis again frankly. I've asked my consultant about going on anti map alongside in the hope that 1) it might increase chances of remission and 2) might be able to come off remicade one day and stay well on anti map maintenance dose.
I'd love to hear from anyone who has tried both. Thank you.
