Changing the frequency of Humira shots (1 week, 2 weeks)

My wife was taking Humira once every 2 weeks. it did not go well enough so the doctor increased it to once a week. Now, Crohn's symptoms are gone, but, in our opinion, due to this extra dose of Humira her immune system seems to have been lowered too much and she seems to have too often colds, runny nose, cough, sore throat...
We are thinking that she takes it at 8 days for a while, than at 9 days etc...then settle at a good balance (Crohn's vs immune system protection).
My question is: If she decreases frequency and Crohn symptoms come back, can she increase again the frequency?

Of course we will discuss this with the doctor, but I am curious if anyone has tried this.
