Eosinophilia colitis

I was just reading my medical report from my colonoscopy, which of course is very confusing. and i dont see my GI for the follow up for another 4 weeks. i am reading in the report that it says I have eosinophilic colitis. Seems to be very rare. From what I have read it can only be detected by a biopsy under a microscope. So I am wondering if it may be the same as microscopic colitis.
Sorry if this is a dumb question. I've been googling it forever and can't seem to find an answer. Thanks

Eosinophilic colitis is not the same as microscopic colitis
It is considered an EGID.
Eosinophilic gastrointestinal disease.
EC is sometimes considered eosinophilic gastroenteritis .
Apfed is a good source of info

Eosinophilic disorders are more allergic in nature than crohn's or uc.

You will need to work with a Gi and an allergist .

It is tricky to treat and some of the treatment overlaps with Ibd .

Good luck
