I can only imagine how many women, even if this is a rare symptom of the disease, can suffer in silence or without answers. Some of the most common symptoms of vulval CD are itching, swelling and soreness of the vulva. These symptoms could be easily self- doctor- misdiagnosed as benign vulvar-vaginal infections and or chronic infections of such. I encourage any women suffering from persistent vulvar discomfort not responsive to yeast infection conventional therapies to talk to their GI about a referral in dermatology.
