Is it hard to diagnose a fissure or hemorroid?

For years I've had spots of blood on the paper after BMs.
This gives me regular pain in my rear.
The problem first started when I used to drink alcohol.

My doctor had given me steroid creams, Nitro cream and even a Botox injection.
Nothing has worked.

The problem is under examination they can't see anything.

I'm going to push for an MRI.

Is it common for fissures or perhaps hemorroids to be almost invisible?
Any advice?

My GI would not even look and see if I had a fissure. They immediately gave me a steroid cream and sent a referral to a colo-rectal surgeon. He had to explain to me that I had multiple fissures and he refused to do surgery to correct them. They have very slowly healed up on their own and stay that way if I am careful taking care of them.

How did they diagnose you?

How long did you have them before they healed?

Mine were very painful for about three months. I started doing baby wipes, epson salt baths daily, and weirdly enough coconut oil a few times a day to keep the area moist. I would not let myself get constipated even if that meant taking a dose or two of miralax, or for me apple juice twice daily. Any time I had a bowel movement at home I would not wipe with toilet paper but rinse in the shower instead, and outside of the house baby wipes.
I know it sounds extensive but for me it worked.

I'm glad you hear you are doing well.

I do worry it's been so long for me, I have tried similar things but if I have a flare of diarrhea it undos all the hard work.
