    The Anti-inflammatory diet treatment

Has anyone else experienced remission through diet and supplements alone? My Crohn's was pretty bad at one point with a stricture forming. I tried Imuran- which caused more side effects than anything and Remicade, which I became immune to after a year. At the same time I was exploring...

    My List of Symptoms-(not intestinal)

Here are a list of all my symptoms that are not intestinal related, just in case anyone else has had weird symptoms and can relate: Swollen tear ducts Rib pain (feels like a bruise) Hot spots on skin Swollen gums Arthritis that moves joints about every 3 days Migraines: Including a Complex...

    Raw Goat Milk

Has anyone else tried raw goat milk? I've been doing the goat milk for about a year now, and Crohn's is a thing of the past for me. The enzymes in the raw milk help heal the gut, the proteins are half the size as cow milk protein, so they digest quickly, in only 20 minutes. Cow milk...

    Mouth flare?

I've noticed in the past month or so that my lips and gums in my mouth have been "flaring". After I eat a meal, the mucous membranes in my mouth get inflamed. It doesn't matter what I eat, but acidic or spicy things cause more of a flare than other foods. There is no external visible...

    I'm off of Remicade

My body developed an immunity to Remicade, so my doc took me off of it. He said I could try Cimzia, but I asked him to let me control it myself with diet and supplements first. If that doesn't work, then we can go back on the medication. So far, it's been four months, and I'm still symptom...

I think my remicade is no longer working...

I had one week to go before my next treatment, and I had a bad flare up. Someone wanted ribs, and the spicy BBQ sauce got me bad. I had diarrhea after that but since then, now I'm constipated and haven't gone in a couple of days. I tried to make myself go after 2 days, and got some out, but...

    Possible Remicade side effect

So I just finished my induction doses of Remicade and noticed two side effects. First is my hair falling out. Doctors said it's not a common side effect and kind of brushed it off (probably along with some of my hair). Second is the bone pain. Especially in my thigh bone above the knee...

    Could it be remission?

Amazingly I've been symptom free for about 3 weeks now. No more cramping, gas, loose stool... I'm on Remicade, however, I started being symptom free BEFORE I started Remicade. My GI however wants to keep me on Remicade to keep me in remission. OMG! I even ate CHILI last night and thought...

    Side effects?

I started Aza 50 mg for 2 weeks, then my doctor increased the dosage to 150 mg about 4 days ago. I noticed the last two days the whites of my eyes are bloodshot. Is that a common side effect? I also had some muscle pain as well, but that seems better today.

    Flare up?

I was diagnosed last month with an aggressive Crohn's. But usually I just have mild cramping and gas, but I ate a steak and garlic mashed potatos last night and have been up all night vomiting and in pain. I took some digestive enzymes before dinner, but it seems like whenever I try taking stuff...

    Hunger...

I was recently diagnosed with Crohn's.... Is it normal for us to feel hungry all the time? I know there's the malnutrition thing, but man, how I crave food! At the same time, I have cramps and a very noisy tummy, and don't want to eat so much becasue it will act up...

    Newly diagnosed

Hello- my name is Amy, I'm 33 and was diagnosed with Crohn's today following a colonoscopy. I still have to go back and do a CT scan and blood work, but the endoscopy doctor was pretty sure. I've been having symptoms for the past 6 months, and only recently have the flare ups been getting...
