Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

Awesome!! I love to see things like this. Spread the word!! I'm tired of my doctors rolling their eyes whenever I mention medical cannabis. It has improved my quality of life tenfold and I can see that it's working for your son too! I just read an article about a young man in Texas that is...

Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

Anything labeled as Rick Simpson oil is just decarboxylated hash oil. Which means it's active orally. It's usually very dark because of the process of decarboxylation.

    Anal fissure driving me CRAZY

What's up everybody :ycool: I'm pissed off at the world right now trying to deal with what I think is an anal fissure. I have not been officially diagnosed but all the symptoms match up. I am in remission from my UC and have been for a while...but I think the years of being out of remission took...

Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

This is a great post :thumleft: I think inhaled cannabis can induce remission...at least in my case it did. THC has a really long half life and CBD has a relatively long half life. The cannabinoids from inhaled cannabis will build up in your system, just not as quickly as orally ingested...

Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

The evidence I have is purely anecdotal...Indica strains seem to relax the body/gut while sativa strains seem to hype me up, almost a stimulant like effect. I have been using Bubba Kush and Northern Lights #5 (both very indica dominant) for months and they seem to work fairly well for me. Just...

Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

According to recent scientific studies it may actually keep the disease in check. You can't just smoke a joint and expect to be cured, although it does help immediately with symptoms. It has to be used like any other medication to expect any long term results. At least in my experience. :)...

    Slightly enlarged aorta...

Slightly enlarged aortic valve (false alarm!) EDIT: OK apparently it was my aortic valve...not my aorta  Had to call the doc to make sure but everything is ok...just slightly above normal. Normal is apparently 3.0cm2-4.0cm2 and mine is 4.2cm2, it's only bad when it gets wayyy too large...

Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

I'm not breaking any state laws, but I'm breaking federal law every day...it's tricky to moderate a discussion such as medical marijuana and legality especially here in the US. Canada has a federal program....technically we have a federal program too, they just stopped using it. Look into Irvin...

Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

Some people can once tolerance builds...but I tend to agree with your statement. The medical effects of cannabis last much longer than the psychoactive effects. A few puffs of hash out of my vaporizer after dinner keeps my gut in check for 24+ hours. I've been experimenting with dosing and I...

    Anybody prescribed Tramadol for pain?

My doctor gave me a small script for tramadol to dull my costochondritis pain earlier today. Pain is 9/10, but at least I got my diagnosis.... Anyways...I usually research a bit before taking any medication, but I trusted my doctor and took the pill after I got back from the pharmacy. 30...

    Costochondritis/Chronic Pain

Hey all, I've been experiencing some chest wall pain for months now and it's getting gradually worse. Even months before my flare, I was constantly icing/heating my chest (left side of breast bone) and now that I'm flaring the pain is almost constant. I should mention that I used to golf a lot...

    Documenting my Colonoscopy Prep Fun

Post Colonoscopy Results (blogish type thing) I'm mostly just doing this thread for myself, but you're all free to follow along and give me advice :) The colonoscopy prep and colonoscopy is done, and I posted the results in my most recent post. I have a follow up appointment soonish and I'll be...

Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

Every positive testimony is a step in the right direction. Every time i've halted my cannabis use, i've flared. Glad to hear other people are having success with this controversial (but effective!) method. It's like clockwork...you said you experienced a return in symptoms after two...

Sed Rate, CRP and CBC all completely normal....still flaring?

Anybody else had this experience? I'm definitely flaring up...the big D 4-8 times daily depending on what I eat, abdominal cramping/pain, fatigue, joint pain....but all of my blood work is normal? I'm really confused. Can't wait for my colonoscopy. Could a blockage be causing this problem?

    Flare up and anxiety/depression/SSRI

I've just about reached my breaking point with this...due to a few very traumatic events in my life recently, I started having panic attacks/constant anxiety. Stress has always been a factor in my pancolitis, so I attribute the new stresses in my life to this flare up. Now that i'm flaring, i'm...
