Thinking about Crohn's wrong has set patients back decades
I have had Crohn's for 40 years last April; it started with misdiagnosis and an emergency ileostomy. At this point all dairy, chocolate and dark liquids are my triggers. 10 years ago Humira worked for me, but it gave me terrible psoriasis. Switched to Entyvio and it works without the skin...- JackG

Skin
I didn't have skin issues until I started Humira 9-10 years ago. Ironically when I went to a dermatologist, their first inclination was to PRESCRIBE Humira. Ha! Evidently I must react opposite of what's expected. I have since switched to Entyvio and my skin issues are much better. About GUT...- JackG

Getting Entyvio Pen in the US
Are there Entyvio pens available? I get it infused at the hospital, and boy, do they gouge the hell out of Medicare, charging more $$25 K!! -
Entyvio, Imodium and Me

Entyvio and the immune system
I was on Humira for 6 years and now Entyvio for 1. My sickness levels were / are good with each med. But Humira significantly increased a psoriasis condition that wasn't much before it. That condition significantly dropped when I stopped using it. -
A Crohn's related skin question
Yes, I have had them biopsied, and was told they are psoriasis. Frankly, though they gave me a med that helps (see pic), I'm not sure how much to believe since their first recommendation was HUMIRA. Isn't it funny how it can help in one person and aggravate another? In my case there's no...- JackG

A Crohn's related skin question
I had some skin problems before when I was on Pentasa, but they were relatively minor. Once on Humira, however they increased a lot. This makes sense, I suppose, since they say biologics compromise your immune system. The skin is the body's biggest organ, and evidently first to start to crumble...- JackG

Cost
If you're on Medicare, it covers 80% and your supplement picks up the rest. I've just completed my three loading doses and now I go 8 weeks. It appears the psoriasis I was suffering with Humira might be easing. Also maybe I might be getting slightly better at dealing with an infrequent coffee... -
Why Don't GI Doctors Take The Role Of Diet Seriously?

Colonoscopy Report - 1 year on Entyvio
