    Anyone in a trial?

I have the opportunity to enter into a trial for Vedolizumab, do we have anyone here who has participated the initial trails for this? My other options are Humeria or Remicade, and I'm actually leaning towards the Humeria. Thanks Michelle

    Imuran and rashes

Has anyone developed a rash(s) while on Imuran? I'd only been taking 50mg/day for ~2 weeks and developed a red, hot, itchy rash on my face. The Gi clinic was "too busy" to see me, so I saw my GP who recommended that I stop taking the Imuran. I'm going to go off it for a week to determine if...

    It's official!!! I'm a CHRONIE!!

Finally, after many months of tests, waiting, more tests, and waiting some more, I have finally gotten an official diagnosis of Crohn's. I'm not sure what excites me more, knowing that I have resolution as to what's going on or the fact that I am on my way to (hopefully) remission...

What have been your tapering experiences?

I did a full week of 30mg, tapering down to 25mg this past weekend. The past weekend was emotional hell. I was crying most of the weekend, it was like the worst PMS ever multiplied by a zillion (ok, well, that might be an exaggeration - but you get the 'just' of what I'm saying). I swear...

I have slept all of 8 hours over two evenings, waking at the ungodly hours between 4:00am and 4:30am. This was ok...

So, I've gotten a preliminarly diagnosis of CD (based on biopsies from my colonoscopy). I have not been given any treatment what-so-ever and probably won't be prescribed anything until I see my GI (post UGI/sbft) in about 2 weeks. I'me going to see my family doctor this afternoon to ask for...

    Should I be worried?

I had my Upper GI with small bowel follow through yesterday. The beginning of the test seemed to go ok, managed to down almost 32 ounces of barium for the test. The first few images went well, and I could feel when the barium hit my ilieum into my large intestine. I was told that I'd need to...

    New to here :-)

Hi There, I was initially diagnosed with UC in 2007 (and based on correspondance between my GP and GI - "there was a granuloma identified, the possibility remains that this will eventually prove to be Crohn's". This year - an ulcer was discovered at the TI via colonoscopy. And I am scheduled...
