Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

It's just fresh MJ infused into oil or alcohol without heat. Heating MJ decarboxylizes the THC acid turning it into THC which can pass the blood brain barrier. Without heating it, it remains THC acid, which has a tough time getting across the blood brain barrier to get you high. It does...

Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

You can always use fresh non decarbed THC and not get much of a high. The THC won't cross the blood brain barrier easily if it's not decarbed but you still get all the health benefits throughout the rest of the body.

Yes, better to get it to where it's needed. Bet you didn't have bronchitis though. :) Also best to add in some THC.

Quebec, I don't know. In michigan you can have a caregiver make it that way. I think that one lab down here does co2 extract and i don't think that method involves heat. As long as the process doesn't involve heat over 225f it shouldn't be decarbed. I use isopropyl alcohol to extract my oil...

I take between 15-50mg of CBD a day. the problem with a cbd(and synthetic THC) only concoction is that it's been shown that whole plant extracts are much more effective. CBD only has a very small window of effectiveness whereas the terpenes and flavinoids present in the plant moderate the CBD...

You may want to read this first. http://www.alternet.org/drugs/why-need-whole-plant-medical-marijuana-even-cbd That and the way that the terpenes interplay with the THC present and the CBD enhances the benefits. I'd also read up on synthetic THC mimics. I remember reading somewhere that...

I'd make my own as you can't be sure of mgs. or whether it has been decarbed. The antianxiety effects only come with CBD that has had the carboxyl group evaporated off so that it can cross the blood brain barrier. I had some dispensary bought CBD caps that didn't work for anxiety at all.

Unfortunately some drs. won't believe that cannabis works. I don't understand it either but some drs. seem to get their degree and think that no new information is out there unless it comes from pharma companies. Some papers may help. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2679124/ This...

Are you using coconut oil to mix in the capsule's? I may have had added benefits from the coconut oil I was using. Just found this. http://www.greenmedinfo.com/blog/13-evidence-based-medicinal-properties-coconut-oil 5th% to 85th% is "normal". If he's doing well, I'm definitely not a dr., but...

Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

I didn't see anything about mucosal repair in this one but it accentuates THC being the best treatment for crohn's. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2931570/ I think this is it. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16083701 And this is another nice paper where I was able to find the...

Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

I'd find a different doctor if you feel pushed. If that second dr. gives you the same rec without you telling them what the other dr said, either it's recommended(not neccessarily right) or they are both in the pocket of big pharma. While it has been known for a long time that cannabis is a...

You do build up a tolerance to the high, I'm not so sure it's the same for medicinal properties. 100 years of cutting the population off from a way to take care of itself has it's downfalls. We are currently in the infancy of relearning and a lot of things, just like life, its about being...

Cannatonic #4 and Perkins cannatonic is what I use for CBD. Both are >1% THC to appr. 16%CBD. Since I take it and want the antianxiety properties from it, it has to be decarbed to pass the blood brain barrier. Decarbing time is different for THC and CBD(maybe because of the higher boiling...
