UC since 2002. Big flare started May 2010 from (I think) major work stress & poor sleep March-April that year. Prednisone, 6MP, and Humira didn't help. GI sent me to a 2nd GI for a 2nd opinion before suggesting colon removal. 2nd GI put me on only sulfasalazine on March 3. On March 6 I had a leg blood clot which postponed my colonoscopy until July 6. I started SCD on May 20 following guidance from www.scdlifestyle.com and my symptoms have reduced drastically, a major improvement.
