    SCD Diet?

When I tried SCD in college I was making an adjustment from eating extremely unhealthy to eating SCD 100%. It definitely helped me cause I went from eating like shit to eating good quality foods, but I lost a ton of weight and I eventually failed bc my urge to cheat became so great I couldn't...

Why Don't GI Doctors Take The Role Of Diet Seriously?

Because they are not trained to think diet has anything to do with this illness. Which is why you need to be aware of that when you talk to these people, and not let them pressure you into going on a cocktail of drugs until you've exhausted all other natural options.

Doctor will not write me a prescription for remicade unless I get a colonoscopy

I've had Crohns since I was 8. I've been on Remicade the past 15 years. It has been the best drug for me. I get a very high dose every month and it keeps me stable. Because of insurance issues, I haven't been able to get one the past 2 and a half months, and I also had to switch doctors because...

    Intermittent Fasting?

This sounds pretty dumb but I've basically just watched a lot of youtube videos on fasting. Here are a few that I felt were very informative. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APZCfmgzoS0&t https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIuj-oMN-Fk Good video on the procedure. What to eat after the fast is...

    Intermittent Fasting?

Kinda confusing post. First you say it doesn't do anything and then in your last paragraph you say it does. Anyway, I've been experimenting lately with fasting. I typically go 12-16 hours for the most part without eating, and 8 hours eating. And once a month I've been doing a 3 day fast. I've...

Why a Trump presidency could be very good for people with Crohns

I know politics doesn't get talked about around here, but I thought many of you would find some hope in this. During Trump's speech a few weeks ago in Gettysburg, he talked about "cutting the red tape" and speeding up the process to get drugs approved at the FDA. Could be very good for people...

    Patent on remicade question.

Does anyone know when the patent on this drug runs out? It's been around for 15+ years it should be way past time for generic drugs to come out. I had an infusion recently at a hospital that cost 70k dollars. It's ridiculous. Remicade is a fine powder that is mixed with a saline solution and...

    Anyone experience remicade withdrawl?

Has anyone every tried stopping remicade cold turkey? I know, for most, this isn't even possible. I've been able to take control of my illness through diet. This had been proven in my bloodwork, my changes in bowel habits and movements, and my weight increase. I would like I get off remicade...

My BM's haven't looked this good since I can remember...

My coworker who has celiac introduced me to Sushi a few weeks back. I've been eating a ton of salmon rolls and california rolls w/ salmon the past couple weeks. I can't remember the last time my poop has looked this good. It literally comes out like a log, perfectly, and sinks to the bottom. I...

    Can remicade cause anemia?

I'm curious to know if this drug may have an effect in hemoglobin levels in the blood? Since it's infused directly into the bloodstream, is there some type of interaction it has with red blood cells?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1Ag_w-vAJI&feature=plcp&noredirect=1http:// Please watch video. The GMO conversation starts at around the 30:00 mark. This stuff is making us sick people. The people doing this need to be held accountable. Rates of IBD have increased 40% since GMO's were...

    Alinia

Doc just prescribed it. It's apparently pretty new. Anyone have any experience? I'd be combining this with my monthly Remicades.
