• Welcome to Crohn's Forum, a support group for people with all forms of IBD. While this community is not a substitute for doctor's advice and we cannot treat or diagnose, we find being able to communicate with others who have IBD is invaluable as we navigate our struggles and celebrate our successes. Starting azathioprine -- when do side effects or signs of intolerance typically show up?

Yes there is a blood test for Infliximab anti-bodies. I’ve had it done once - I had no anti-bodies. I’ve been on and off Remicade three times now due to surgeries. Was able to re-start it every time.

Starting azathioprine -- when do side effects or signs of intolerance typically show up?

I’ve been on Methotrexate since 2011. My GI says to keeps me in remission in conjunction with the Remicade. My blood work is perfect and my GI couldn’t be happier.

I have found that I take longer with some medications to take effect...

    Remicade Club Support Group

DocS9788 - I’ve been on Remicade since 2011. Side effect - psoriasis on my palms and butt. However, I’m in remission - my blood tests are “stellar” according to my GI. I’m still having joint pain which the Remicade didn’t touch but we’re dealing with that. Best way to know if the inflammation is...

Venting - just sick of "being sick"

Sorry about this but I have to vent to someone. I was diagnosed about 3 years ago with Crohns. It's doing oaky - we have finally got the joint pain to go away and the gut seems to be controlled by the Remicade. So I decided that I'd had enough of the stress with the company I've been with...

New member - love the posts

Just joined (10/5/13). Have been reading a lot of the posts. Really feels like I'm not alone. Not much in the way of support groups in rural Alberta so trying to find my way. Lucky to have 3 wonderful doctors on my side. GI, Rheum., & my family dr. All three female and the best I've ever met.
