Stomach growling and tensions

Hello guys,

I need some help or adivce.

i been having stomach tensions with growling and noises in my belly for days… I tried to change my diet, drink a lot more etc and started a rifaximin cycle 2 days ago but it keeps going on. Today it’s harder to walk normally with all this discomfort.
I have some strictures in my terminal ileum. The main noises comes from my centre left side just down last central rib (could be the stomach?) and also i feel very sensitive at the bottom right (probably terminal ileum) so at opposite sides.
Do you think this could be the first symptoms of a possible obsctruction?

yesterday I went to the GI and he touched my belly but said he can feel the disease and want me to have an MRI, but today I feel a bit worse and getting worry.

I should travel tonight for few days and i’m not sure it’s safe anymore in this situation. Any similar experience or advice?

Can anyone else hear the noise in the same room?
When is your mri scheduled ?
If symptoms are getting worse - ER might be needed since you have known strictures…

Sorry to hear it and sounds miserable. If GI has seen you recently is it worth a phone call to let them know how things are progressing and see what they say? Might be worth taking your pulse/ blood pressure/ temperature at home too to see if anything out of kilter. For peace of mind, if you do travel, maybe worth making sure you know where nearest hospital is in case things get worse. Hope you are doing okay.

Thank you for your reply

noises are not so loud. MRI will be end of the summer so not soon.
Yes I guess if it turns out as an obstruction with nausea and pain I’ll go the the ER. Hope I can avoid that.

did you experienced similar situations?

hi delta_hippo thanks for your advices.
I decided to travel and go, as I hate this disease make us drop down plans and opportunities.
Yes I know some hospital there, i’ll be close to family too, so it’s not so adventurous.

regarding GI they are not really easily responsive, no direct phone line, so i cant really count on any reply nor advice on that side… and they would only auggest to stick to their initial plan or go to the ER if things get dramatically worse i guess

My kiddo has not had any strictures but one of his friends did at 15 and you could hear the noise across the room
Ct showed obstruction at two places with ballooning small intestine in two spots
Immediate come straight in for surgery call was made

my kiddos Gi has put it simply if pain is really bad (10 out of 10) just head to the ER -quick eval is better than disaster as home.

I was lucky as the trip went great and most of the discomfort disapeared being super careful with the diet except for 1 day. Now i’m back home and pain is back a bit. I realize I have to be much more strict with my diet compare to last years, it’s kinda depressing
