Well for anyone interested.... My update: just back from gi, my biopsies from the sigmoidoscopy all came back normal so he says he's basically ruling out ibd! He said that to make sure he's not missing anything serious he's gonna schedule me for an ultrasound! I dunno whether to be happy or sad...

Hey doogle n welcome to the forum! I haven't had a endoscopy only a sigmoidoscopy (without sedatives) so i can't really advise u on that, but if i were u i would take the test now eventhough u haven't seen a consultant yet since u were lucky as it is to get one after only 6weeks since the start...

Thanx so much valleysangel for takin ur time to help.... I had my appointment yesterday by colorectal surgeon and he told me that since my blood is fine it is assuring! He said though that he wants me to have a sigmoidoscopy just to make sure all is good so thank gd he didn't just brush me away!

Finally got my appointment today with the colorectal surgeon to properly assess my fissures... Its been almost 3months of rectal pain and bleeding from the fissures and more recently from crazy abdominal pain! I'm really nervous that he'll dismiss it as a regular fissure without checking out...

Thanx for takin the time to reply.... I haven't yet been diagnosed but i suppose i should just keep a check on which foods react and which don't. I keep alternating between constipation and diarrheah so mayb keep changing what i eat depending on what i have....
