Hi Cmack Thankyou for your support. The pain is still pretty intense, I have the bleeding everytime I open my bowels, will keep and eye on it and will call my surgeon Monday if still the same. I know 20 its crazy I never thought I would have this mant but these fistulas can be stubborn. Kelly xx

GABoy! They say procedures to be done within 18weeks here. My surgeon has gone part time so im guessing I may have to wait a bit longer which im ok with. How many surgeries have you had for your fistula?

Hi GABoy, I too am on the list to have the advancement flap surgery! Everyone is different but I have a friend that had the surgery and was in alot of pain after and on meds for 4 weeks and just over 6 weeks recovery time. Good luck for your surgery!

Hi adusia. welcome to the forum. I had the anal fistula plug, everything is done internally so I was in alot of pain afterwards and after about a week I noticed some loose stitching and some white stuff which I gather was the plug. Unfortunately I was right and the procedure failed. kelly xx

Hi glasgow girl. I have had this happen yesterday and today. I have surgery tomorrow for my anal fistula so will mention it to my surgeon. I had it a few weeks ago aswell but not as much as the last few days. I would call your GI X
