    Colonoscopy buddy

    I'm going in for my annual scope next Friday. I've got the two fer one special - endoscopy and colonoscopy. I'm feeling great and expecting improved results from last year's. But, I'm always nervous at what the doc might find. Anyone else going in for one next week? Misery loves company.

    Long-term users of 6-mp or Azathioprine

    I've been on 50mg/day for 6 months now. No real issues other than (a) fatigue and (b) my body's rejection of dosage above 50mg/day. Anyone been on longer? Side effects? I've been researching this drug and feeling a bit scared about being on it too long.

    Some jeans and a suit I bought last xmas don't fit me anymore. I now swim in them thanks to being off prednisone. My pregnant belly is gone along with 2 inches of my girth. Think I can take them back and get a refund?

    No More Prednisone!!!

    Which is the better pain reliever for Crohn's Disease? Advil, Tylenol or Aspirin?

    Advil seems to do nasty things to your stomach. Tylenol can damage your liver (and if you're on 6mp, that ain't good). Aspirin...I don't know. thoughts?

    3 weeks of daily headaches on Prednisone

    Is this normal? I'm down to 2mg/day of Prednisone. Since I got down to 5mg/day, I've been struggling with daily headaches. Having to take Advil every few hours. It's really frustrating. See GI a week from Monday.

    Prednisone withdrawal headaches? Anyone else get them?

    I'm down to 4mg/day. Each week, I'm tapering down 1mg/day. From 6 to 5 and 5 to 4, I started getting headaches. In fact, I've had headaches every day for the last 10 days. I'm one who rarely gets headaches. I assume it's withdrawal but should i be concerned? don't see GI for another 2 weeks.

    I'm kinda freaking out...elevated ALT (liver) tests with 6mp

    I'm already hypersensitive to the ASA drugs. Now I've learned my liver tests are showing abnormalities at >50mg of 6-mp. Grrrrrr. I feel fine symptom-wise but I'm trying to wean off prednisone and onto a maintenance drug. What if I can't tolerate 6-mp? What next?

    Anyone use probiotic called Align?

    My GI recommended it to reduce bloating and gas. I'm on pred but my bloating has increased despite my having been tapering and drinking lots of water.

    I had an allergy attack a few weeks ago from eating a balance bar and recently went to allergist for testing. I had broken out in severe hives and nearly needed an Epi-pen shot. Anyways, I learned that I appear to be allergic to cow's milk and whey. Oddly though, I have never had issues...
