Types of fistula drainage. What do they mean?

Hi guys. I have persistent perianal fistula. At this point they are always leaking. I have about 5-6 openings in 2 clusters. The consistency of the drainage changes all the time. Does anyone know what different types if drainage indicate? Is it always bad when blood is present?

Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

Hi all, hope everyone is doing good. I really wish they would make a MMJ group do we can have more than one thread going. It is hard to fish through this thread for the info you need. I've been using a simple vaporizer for my oils. I refill them a couple times but it gets too thick. I've...

Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

Very interesting! Can you expand on how you are healing? Specifically the fistula. How many or how big was it/they? And now? After how long of these supplements? I'm a little concerned about the ginger fiber clog. Thanks :)

Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

So I searched this thread for keys to whether any part of MMJ would help with fistulae. I only saw one post by Farkle that did not look good. I'm hoping someone has new (good) answers. Every med i've gone on has wreaked havoc on my body and brain.

How to tell if your sphincter still works

They MRI I had a few years ago show complex fistulae running parallel to the sphincter. I've recently had stool that feels like a big firm stool. I feel a bit constipated. But the stool ends up being soft sold. I know I'm not supposed to push very hard but when I push very slightly...

What type of pain management doctor do i pick?

Hi all, Its been a while. Hope you guys are doing ok. I have been on Tramadol for, what feels like, inflammation type pain in the abdomen. It is great but it doesn't work as well as it initially did. I don't want "stronger" meds. The reason I like Tramadol so much is because it doesn't...

Hi guys. I am starting a mesalamine enema. There were no detailed instructions. I mean there should be drawings! Im think I'm doing it wrong. I cannot get a third of the bottle in before it starts seeping out, even when I wait many seconds before re-trying. Also I get nervous about...

    Air entering Fistula - ouch!

I have just had a fistula open up into my anus (there's a chance it may be a boil from my hidradenitis - they are hard to tell apart). Well now when I pass gas a portion will enter the fistula via the anus. it hurts bad. I have to sit down and it forces the air back out through my anus for...

Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

I'm wondering, assuming dispensaries in MA wont have on-hand doctors, if they will allow me to go in and ask questions without a prescription. I'd like to go in and get expert advise to bring back to my doctor for my argument - Assuming she is insured by then.

Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

My Doctor is in the latter group. She completely believes it but they are not insured or licensed to prescribe it. At least at her LARGE Boston Hospital. We have dispensaries opening next year and I'm praying that they will come with their own set of doctors. I know this is not the right...

    Hidradentitis Suppurative - newer treatment

Hi all, I developed Hidradenitis (large, excessive, painful boils in the glandular areas) in 2011 during my 2nd pregnancy. After my pregnancy it was determined that I had scarring on my uterus which needed horemones (Mirena) to prevent excessive bleeding/cramping periods. Recently I went to...

Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

Juggys, THAT is what is so exciting about all these legalizationings happening. Once they are up and running, probably already for RI, you can ask the dispenser about a strain that does not get you high but helps inflammation.

Green tea is magic for me

Hi guys, I had a very bad flare last month from taking an antibiotic (even though I took a probiotic). During the flare, once I finished my last BM (I'd do approx. 4 in 2 hours) I would have severe pain in my gut for 4 hours. The pain felt like inflammation - just a general pain that was...

Juggy, I'd also like to know which Opiates you are referring to that work but give less of a high than MM. I would prefer MM because it is a similar high to percs and such but the effects don't last nearly as long. My pain issues last for 4 hours after a BM so MM is perfect. I take a hit...
