    Hair loss

Wow. Thank you for sharing this informative link. 👍🏻 Well worth the read. Makes perfect sense, and certainly helps explain why I have experienced so much hair loss over the past ten years or more. I assumed it was just part of the aging process. I’m grateful however, that I was born with more...

The new (and greatly improved) GI clinic was wonderful! Unlike the previous one a couple months ago to which I shall never return. Went once and never again. Friendly, efficient, no waiting for three hours, really good experience. The PA was super nice, engaging, knew his stuff. Was going to...

    Vitamin B12 supplements

I’ve been making my own milk kefir for the past four years. It has definitely helped with the constant diarrhea. Still have the occasional unannounced bouts, but nothing like the nightmares of the past twenty years. I began making my own yogurt this year as well. SO much better than any store...

What are you grateful for today?

Grateful to be retired and no longer working so on bad days I don’t have to worry about having to call in sick. Or stop along the way to work to find a restroom or a bush to jump behind. 👍🏻

    Soooooo disappointed!!! 😒 😣😖😡

Ughhhhhhhhh!!! (Major RANT) So I finally had my appt. at the new GI clinic and met my new doc. His disposition was lethargic, apathetic, disinterested, and overall a lifeless bump on a log. Like a toad. 😣😖🤢 To make matters worse, my previous GI office had only sent a few scraps of my ten year...

Diagnosed at age 50 & over Support Group

Humor is absolutely ESSENTIAL with this crap..erm, I mean disease. Yes, we should all get a colonoscopy at fifty, for sure. In our forties, if family members have serious GI medical history. I waited far too long. I’ve been after my daughter to schedule hers (she’s 42) since she has been having...

Healthcare Workers with Crohn's/IBD Support Group

Have suffered with IBS (with unrelenting diarrhea and dumping syndrome) for 4 decades, then dx’d with proctitis and UC back in 2014. Was a Hemodialysis Nurse for years (outpatient clinic), then switched to Home Health and spent the majority of my time on the road visiting patients. It got to...

Diagnosed at age 50 & over Support Group

Greetings. Just turned seventy this month. I posted this the other day on the UC forum, then found this one here. Nice! Don’t feel so old now, being amongst my peeps. 😁 To save myself time and effort, I shall simply copy/paste what I wrote over there on the UC forum as my introduction. Doc...

I’ve been using it for five years. Actually quit using it for a couple years as I thought I was over it all and went about my merry way. Bad move. Back on it for a year now, but thinking I might need to increase my dose as I’ve been having a lot of painful flares recently. But yes, it works fine...

    PICC Lines?

Kittz is correct. I’m a nurse, and yes, tiny bubbles here and there are not anything to be concerned about. A huge bubble or airspace yes, little random bubbles, no. 👍🏻

    short term constipation relief?

My go to help for constipation remains 30-60ml Milk of Magnesia. Works every time. Might take an hour or two, maybe three, but MOM does better than anything else I’ve tried over the years. 👍🏻

    Ulcerative Proctitis Support Group

Greetings. Doc dx’d me with UC and proctitis approximately 6-7 years ago. I’ve been seeing my GI for nine years, mostly for recurring colon polyps. I’ve suffered with IBS for forty years.. may have been UC and proctitis for some of that time at least, but I just always passed it off as “spastic...

    Back again!

Wow. Back again. :dusty: It's been awhile! Like nearly four years? Geesh! Registered here after my initial diagnosis of Crohn's back in July of 2014. Was put on Azulfedine BID, and in a month or two, everything was honky dory. Seriously. Guess I thought I was 'healed'. :ylol2: Oh well...

So tell me more about strictures.

Oh, how I do hate having to write about poops ! LOL Guess I'd better get used to it, though :( So help me understand the strictures thing. From everything I've experienced the past two months, I would swear I've had (may still have) some serious stricture(s) going on. I actually...

    Greetings. Another Newbie Here.

So here I am… another unwilling member of the Crohn's Club. Boo Hoo.:( Diagnosed yesterday. Background history… IBS for 40+ years, since my early twenties. Got worse with each passing year. Have traveled all of Europe and the US and can point out every underpass, overpass, bridge, ditch, bush...
