    Anyone have enthesitis?

Has anyone been diagnosed with enthesitis? It is an inflammation of the tendon and ligament insertion sites around joints. It is commonly associated with autoimmune disease and my rheumatologist recently diagnosed me with this. Basically, every time I suffer an athletic injury, it seems to...

What do you think of when you hear about the Paleo diet?

This is more for people who don't currently follow a Paleo diet. I'm wondering what everyone else's thoughts are when they hear about the Paleo diet. Does it have a negative, positive, or neutral connotation to you?

How do you describe your Crohn's-related joint pain?

How do you describe the joint pain that you have related to Crohn's? My joint pain is usually in my fingers. With the most recent flare, it seems to be localized to my left hand, especially in the first finger. A relatively small joint, but it hurts so bad! I also sometimes have pain in my...

Does colonoscopy reveal Crohn's if in remission?

Has anyone ever had a colonoscopy while in remission? If you have mild CD (no fistulas, strictures, etc.), would the colonoscopy still show evidence of CD? I'm curious because I have a new GI that wants to repeat my colonoscopy. I'm currently in what I believe is remission. He is questioning...

    Crohn's diagnosis taken away?

I posted this a few days in the general forum, but I didn't get many responses. I'm trying to find someone that may have had a similar experience. I'm probably a bit different from others in the undiagnosed club, because I was able to get a Crohn's diagnosis really quickly. But then it was...

New GI doctor and new diagnosis??? Need input!

In early July, I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease following a month of acute diarrhea and several years of non-specific GI symptoms (really, really bad gas, bloating, pain in the RLQ). I had a bad experience with the GI that diagnosed me, as she wasn't listening when I told her that Lialda...

    Colostrum

Has anyone tried the supplement colostrum? I started taking it last night and although it hasn't even been a day, I have to say that I'm really impressed. I posted yesterday about having excruitiating joint pain that I know is related to my Crohn's. Well, I woke up this morning and for the...

    Joint pain

The diet and supplement protocol that I'm on are helping a lot with GI symptoms. But the last few days, I have had unbearable joint pain. I have pain all over, but it seems localized in my left hand and one finger in particular. It's not the worse pain I've ever had, but it's up there. It's...

What does remission in Crohn's mean?

I am newly diagnosed. My understanding of remission was that symptoms should mostly resolve, including diarrhea and loose stools. However, at my last appointment, my GI told me that I can expect to always have loose stools, even if I am in remission. Is this accurate information?

For those who say diet doesn't help...

I'm curious...for those of you who say that diet hasn't helped you, what dietary changes have you tried? How long did you try it? Did you cheat at all or did you follow the diet precisely? Did you have any outcome at all (did any of your symptoms improve, did they worsen, no change, etc)...

    Lialda making symptoms worse?

I've been taking Lialda 2.4mg twice daily for about 3 weeks now, since my diagnosis with Crohn's. Initially, I had the impression that it was making my symptoms much worse. I went from having 1 looser (soft serve) BM once a day to 6-10 watery, straight diarrhea BMs. The GI doc told me to call...

    Please help with biopsy results

Earlier this week, I was given a diagnosis of Crohn's. This was following about 5 weeks of mild diarrhea that was unresolved with over-the-counter immodium. Initially, I was having the diarrhea (sometimes more loose stool than diarrhea) about 3-4 times per day. After the colonoscopy, I felt...

Just diagnosed...in shock and scared. Please help with questions.

Hello- I just received a Crohn's diagnosis. I am honestly in shock and I'm having a hard time believing it. I'm 27 years old. About a month ago, I started having diarrhea- at first several times per day, and then decreasing in frequency as I tried an elimination diet and cut all gluten out of...
