    Ulcer under base plate

Hi guys anyone any thoughts on this? I've been to see my Stoma nurse and she thinks it was caused by the plastic ends on my Stoma belt, she has me dressing it with aquacell and putting a protective cover over it before putting on my base plate. But it's still quite bloody and getting bigger.

Sounds like you have a loop ileostomy, so some of the stool is going on down the pipe to the tail end, shouldn't be anything to panic about providing your not feeling unwell or spiking temperatures etc but worth mentioning to your doc.
