Chronic folliculitis as a precursor to crohn's?

I've seen some posts on here concerning folliculitis as a reaction to treatment but has anyone started out with folliculitis before they were even diagnosed with crohn's? This is one of the symptoms I had for months before anything really started to happen on the crohn's front (i.e. I felt...

    What is remission?

What is remission? More specifically, if I have been diagnosed with Crohn's due to ulcers in my TI (terminal ileum) and I go into remission, do the ulcers disappear or do my symptoms go away but ulcers stay?

    Extraintestinal sypmtoms only with Crohn's?

I think I have asked this question before but want to try one more time as my GI has suggested that I start Remicade infusions and I am frankly worried and not confident that the right diagnosis has been reached. I need this confidence to move ahead with the treatment. First, I have been a...

    Budesonide and remission

I have read several things about Budesonide that have left me confused. Is it possible for Budesonide to put you in remission from mild Crohn's and then for no other medication to be needed? Or do you always have to be on medication for Crohn's?

    Is this even possible?

Hi all - I have had a battery of blood tests - all negative for Crohn's. I have also had an MRI that says no Crohn's. No typical symptoms so no D or C. Colonoscopy revealed ulcers in ileum. So while I know there is something going on (pain in ribs/upper back/neck/diaphragm/etc is it still...

Referred pain and Thrush questions - is this normal???

Insights please. I feel like my Dr's are throwing darts. Have any of you experienced the following as "referred pain" and are these things "normal" in the world of Crohn's? (Note: still trying to get a clear prognosis from Dr's on whether I have Crohn's or not). 1) My symptoms began with...

Can intense physical activity set off Crohn's?

Hi - I'm awaiting on confirmation of Dr's suspicion of Crohn's (ulcer's in ileum) but trying to do a bit of research to plan for the potential and next steps. First, my symptoms don't seem to be typical (no d, no indigestion, no blood, etc) and I think I can tie them back to training for a half...
