    I have Covid

I'm day 8 and isolating. Symptoms initially were fever for 3 days, bad cough, head pains, fatigue and congestion, no appetite. Each day since the fever went I've felt better and now just have some congestion which I normally have anyway. I'm on Lialda daily and Humira every 2 weeks. my Gastro...

    Covid vaccine booster

How did you feel with Omicron? I'm leaning towards waiting until they have tweaked the vaccine to cover other variants too.

    Covid vaccine booster

It does worry me. After the 3rd, I said "No more". But 6 months fast forward and I feel that pressure because I'm approaching 50 and on Humira.

    Covid vaccine booster

Sorry to hear that about your son MLP, Crohns is bad enough without the added arthritis. I have asked a few times if this is crohn's related and I'm always told no, that it's the knees and hips with the crohns arthritis. My knee also gets painful on and off but nothing like my elbows. I am so...

    Covid vaccine booster

Oh I didn't realize the booster was a lower dose. Neither my PCP or GI would refer me to a rheumatologist last time I asked. I'm not sure what they would do anyway seeing as I'm already on Humira.

Thank you, I think the covid numbers are rising slightly where I am but hospital admissions are down. Are you taking a biologic or immunosuppressive meds? (If you don't mind me asking)

    Covid vaccine booster

I am been on Humira every two weeks for the last 4 years. I have had the Moderna series of 3 shots. I haven't had a 4th (booster) yet. I had a horrible time with each of the 3 shots, worse with each one, big immune responses, felt rough for 2 days but obviously that's what vaccines do and it's...

    Budesonide 9mg for 4 weeks...no taper?

Mine is budesonide ER. Extended release, comes in 9mg and releases in the sigmoid colon area where most of my disease is at the moment. Budesonide EC is controlled release in the ileum. Maybe that's why mine doesn't taper...I'm still not sure.

    Budesonide 9mg for 4 weeks...no taper?

So I have started the course of budesonide ER 9mg daily for 4 weeks...it's been a bad morning so I gave in and took the first one. I checked with the Dr again and the pharmacist re: tapering down after the month...both said no need because it is an extended release and "tapers itself".

I've always tapered it but I checked with the dr and he said no need....does seem odd. No instructions from the pharmacist either.

    Budesonide 9mg for 4 weeks...no taper?

My GI has prescribed budesonide 9mg daily for a month for this flare. No tapering. The last time I had this maybe 3 yrs ago, I had to taper to 6mg then 3 mg over a few weeks. Anyone else stopped budesonide without tapering down?

    Pain & bleeding after colonoscopy/polypectomy

Hi all, I have been diagnosed with crohns colitis for 10 years. On Lialda for most of that and Humira for last 3 years. I had 3 polyps removed and biopsies taken 3 days ago and have been bleeding and in pain since. The pain is spasmodic and the blood is mostly clots but some watery too. It...
