Anybody find it weird having a GI of the opposite sex?

I have a female GI and find it a little weird when she does rectal exams. I don't find it too weird though because she is way older than me. Also I have a colonscopy tomorrow so wish me luck X_X.

So my doctor said that I might need my colon widened

I've had crohns for almost 2 years now and I've had fistulas just as long. I had a perianal abcess at the beginning of my crohn's journey. After they took care of that I had a citon for about a year and half. Anyways staying on topic apparently the crohns left my bottom with a lot of scarred...

Have been taking small amounts of go-lytely everyday for a year now, is it dangerous?

I've been taking 1-4 250 ml cups of go-lytely to treat my constipation (nothing else has worked, am also on a vegan diet) and I haven't been having any issues until a couple of days ago when my stool was too watery, should I be worried?

    Need Constipation relief badly!

I'm one of the crohnies whom deals on the constipation end rather then diarrhea. Since I've been diagnosed I've been having bouts of constipation (one was so bad that I was doubling over in pain and had to go to emergency for an enema) my GI has been useless and totally ignoring the fact that...

Yep, day 1 starts today, I'm taking "Metagenics Ultra Flora Plus DF" probiotic and "Metagenics Glutagenics" to help with my intestinal lining, so far I don't have any side effects. Any thoughts? Feedback? Known symptoms? My naturopath thinks I have a yeast allergy. Is it a good idea to be on...

    I'm at a loss

I was diagnosed with crohn's in February 2010. I've been feeling like crap mentally since then and I don't know why. I have been having crazy mood swings as to even question my own existence at times. My biggest fear is realizing after my crohn's is treated that I will still have these issues. I...

This is not true for me unfortunately, anything I ate during my predisone run ended in constipation. Thankfully I'm off predisone now. Did anyone else have these issues even while on predisone.

    Second Opinion

My current GI is one of two GIs in my city. The other one is his brother-in-law. Given this fact should I seek a second opinion for my diagnosis of crohn's of the ileum outside my city from another certified GI?
