    Is this from Crohn's?

    I am a newly diagnosed 25 yr old with Crohns. I have had back problems for awhile also. They took X-rays of my Lumbar spine and I was diagnosed with Degenerative Arthritis and joint narrowing. I'm thinking this could be from crohns because of my young age and arthritis. Could this be the cause?

    Mercaptopurine or MP6?

    My GI doc just prescribed this medicine to me for my active Crohn's. He said its also known as MP6. As I was reading what the warning label it said it was used to treat cancer. It belongs to a class of drugs called purine antagonists. What is this medicine? Has anyone ever taken this before?

    Average length of flare?

    Well, I had my first "flare" in early June. This was my first episode and I have not felt well ever since. Still alot of stomach aching and pain. Prednisone helped with the inflammation and ulcers but Im still no where near 100%. How long does yours usually last? Any suggestion? Thanks!
