QuBiologics new phase 2 trial recruiting soon

I was in the study back in 2019. I have been crohn's free for since Oct.2019. I would HIGHLY recommend going in it if you are able. Believe me when I say this: It is GREAT not having anymore attacks. No more meds, nothing.

QuBiologics new phase 2 trial recruiting soon

It's been 8 months since I finished the study. I have had a couple VERY minor flareups lasting a couple of days but overall I am VERY happy with the results. Not taking any other meds. I hope I stay this way. Never thought it possible to get off of Pred., Asacol(both oral and rectal).

    Qu Biologics study

I was in the open label group. Phase two(the double blind part) is just about to test the last two patients. Qu Bio has realized that when you are injecting the treatment you get a local reaction(which I was getting). The placebo gives no such thing. They have apparently put an additive in the...

    Qu Biologics study

Scipio my case handler told me that when I entered the study I was one of the last to receive the actual treatment. He said that a certain amount of the participants have to receive the actual treatment. I was one of them . He assured me of that. He also referred to me as being in the control group.

    High Calprotectin, Negative MRI

I just finished my participation in the Qu Biologic study. When I was at my sickest my Cal protectin level was at 6800 (yes I was that sick and it was UNBELIEVABLY painful and up to 30 plus bowel movements a day). It dropped to a low of 180 and then spiked up to 1780. But my disease for the most...

    Qu Biologics study

My one year Qu biologic study participation (I was in the control group so I was getting the actual treatment, not the placebo) is over. Here are my results. My CRP levels which went from 0.7 in May to 1.8 in Sept to 3.9 in Oct are now(Tested Dec 4th) 0.9. My Calprotectin levels jumped from 180...

    Crohns and body building (again..)

DarrelMarks If you think the only effect anabolics have on your body is muscle growth then I would STRONGLY urge you to read about their known side effects.

    Qu Biologics study

My latest results: All blood work normal (except my crp levels are starting to slowly climb. still good at 1.8 but have jumped from 0.7) and my cal protectin level is at 180. No stool sample test required for my Sept blood work which I found kinda strange. Still feeling great but I did have a...

    Night sweats

I too have the night sweat problems but I was also getting them when i'm in remission and feeling great. Sadly for me it's looking like i am starting to show the signs of psoriatic arthritis. I do have psoriasis. One of the possible side affects is night sweats. Good luck with you. I hope you...

    Arthritis???

I too have been dealing with arthritic pain. It's in my hands/wrists and lower back. Strangely what gives my lower back ALLOT of relief is when I get up in the morning(believe me I have trouble getting out of bed) I go for about a 15 min walk in reverse. I started doing this about a year ago...

    Does diet really help?

My last remission was a result of the Qbiologics study I am in. Right now I am eating what I want. I never really had a bad diet so I don't and never did eat much junk food. For me there was never any food that I can pinpoint would cause an attack I would assume that it also matters where in...

    Does diet really help?

From my own personal experience what tastemaster posted pretty much applies to me when I have a flare up. When I am in remission I really have no food restrictions and I can even consume some alcohol.

    Any avid tea drinkers?

I like drinking butterfly tea. It's quite good with just a touch of raw unpasteurized honey. The water has a real neat blue color to it.

    Crohns and body building (again..)

I have been power lifting for about 20 years and I can tell you from witnessing the affects of doing roids on healthy people I would NEVER do it with having our disease. Our systems are under enough stress without adding roids to the mix. I would suggest if you are going to try it,check with...

    Qu Biologics study

Hey everyone. I am new to the group. I wish I could say the same about my crohn's(had for about 30years). I have been ''fortunate'' in that I have had some long stretches of remission without meds(3 years was my best). This past Sept it flared up. I went to tried and trusted pred.(starting at my...
