Sticky Medical Marijuana for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

The side effects of the medicines the doctors give us are as bad as our disease, it makes me sick that they refuse to look at natural medicines.

Where do you get the tinctures? Thinking of trying it myself, I made the decision to come of Azathioprine early in the summer, hated what it was doing to my body as secondary side effects. The GI will not like it, but my flare was settled, had gained back some weight, etc.

    Low RBC

Just wondering if anyone has experienced Azathioprine lowering their RBC? I just got my last week's blood draw results from my general practitioner. My RBC has been going down steadily since October, finally listed as "low" at the end of May and last week. Have been on iron tablets and folic...

    A question on blood work

Okay, for those of you who get your blood results sent to you as well.... Had my blood drawn last Friday, called about the results on Tuesday. The nurse said they came back great. She faxed me the results here at work. I noticed that for the first time, my RBC was listed as "low", it was at...

    I have a dream....

Just something that I have been thinking about alot lately, so thought I would put down on screen here. Please keep in mind that I was diagnosed long before the world was online, didn't have this fantastic forum, or anything like it. I was young, trusting of the medical professionals, and just...

    Stupid bruising

Grrrr!!!! I am so tired of the easy bruising! I have bruises that I don't even have a clue as to how got there. Whether it's just the Crohn's, or the Aza, or both. Tired of looking like I have been man handled, (sorry for the figure of speech, men), and of customers asking me about them.

    Wondering....

Ok, this might seem strange, and maybe the 2 things are not related at all, but it's wierd so I thought I would see if anyone else has had this happen. I went to see the chiropractor yesterday, my sciatic nerve had been acting up on my right side for about 2 months. They did the electrode little...

    Other autoimmune system disorders

Having one autoimmune disease, I think most of us have heard that we are predisposed to have other autoimmune disorders as well. So I was just wondering how many of us have other ones, whether we got those before or after our Crohn's diagnosis. For me, I was diagnosed with psoriasis at 17, just...

Do you get your blood work results?

This is just something I was thinking about yesterday, after reading some posts. I was wondering how many people actually see or get the results of their blood work? I was diagnosed in 1988, and in all these years, have only gotten copies of my blood work once, and that was probably an accident...

    Moods

Ok, does anyone know or suspect, does Imuran affect our mood too? Maybe it's just the Crohn's in general, maybe it's just that today is Monday, possibly I suppose since I am a woman that there could be other hormones in play as well, but gosh, my mood seems to turn south so easily and often...
