Can an MRI diagnose possible Crohn's?

It could pick up signs of inflammation (bowel wall thickening) possibly caused by Crohn's, but I doubt that most docs would make a firm diagnosis of Crohn's disease based on MRI alone.

I agree, I haven't heard of anyone getting diagnosed with Crohn's by MRI imaging alone. That isn't necessarily to say that it isn't possible though. Usually there are stool samples, blood testing, colonoscopies and/or endoscopies involved as well. Also, there is a pill cam that has helped many get a diagnosis. I wish you the best.
