Health Insurance

Hi all,

Iím currently a teacher in Florida and will be looking to change jobs at the end of the school year. Iím highly considering working for somewhere that doesnít offer health insurance and wanted to know what my options would be to get covered or if anyone had a similar experience and knows what to do. I have ulcerative colitis and have been fortunate enough to have not had a flare in over a year and a half, but Iím fully aware that this disease has a mind of its own.

Thanks for your time!

It seems like you should be able to pick up COBRA insurance from your current employer for awhile until you decide on another coverage. Especially being a teacher you should have COBRA insurance. I know my dad's work did. But, remember that this is temporary though and not permanent.
