After all these years!!!

For almost 4 months I've gone from having normal bm's daily to maybe going once or twice a week and diarrhea. I don't understand what's going on. Recently had a colonoscopy. If my bm is normal than few mins later diarrhea. Anyone know what this means? Diagnosed almost 10 yrs ago. Fistula connecting large and small int.Stricture in transverse colon.Do have good news multiple polyps removed and not cancer woohoo!!!

It sounds like you've got constipation if you're only going once or twice a week. Are you getting any blood with your stools/diarrhea? If so, it's possible that you could have some inflammation going on and are beginning to flare.

Very good news that you don't have cancer!!! Please keep us updated.

Hmm... Don't really know then. Started taking the probiotics a few years ago. I believe my Doctor told me at that time they'd be good for me, if I remember right. Here's some info about probiotics and IBD. There are a few threads on here as well about different probiotics that seem to be good and work for people.

I tried probiotics but found they did nothing at all, and there was no research that I could find which proved them to be beneficial.

Crohn's can vary over the course of time, so I don't think it's that unusual that you'd be finding your symptoms are changing. Since your colonoscopy results were good, have you had any recent tests to assess your upper digestive tract, such as an upper endoscopy or imagining studies to assess your stomach and small intestine?
