I just need to vent.
Our daughter is tired, pale, bleeding and just found out she is anemic and needs an iron infusion. They wanted to wait until next week, but I was able to find a local hospital to do it today. However the GP nurse is being anything but helpful. We were headed out the door after being on the phone all day and she calls all snippy saying we are busy and the doctor hasnt filled out the paperwork to fax. They dont see her all tired and pale, and think waiting until next week will have to be good enough or wait until the end of the day. i was pleasant, but now I am just frustrated. It would only take them 2 minutes to fill out the information and fax it. Need words of encourgement to get through the weekend....

How frustrating, I'm so sorry you had to deal with that today and that your lo one is having to suffer because of their snippiness!

:ghug:It will be alright. She'll be fine. Take her to the ER if it gets worse. There are my words of encouragement!

That nurse should be fired for being stupid and unthoughtful and unfeeling!!! There's my word of anger!!! Sorry I had to get that out!

Julie ...:ghug:
Can't you take her to your local hospital and get them to chase up paperwork from your GP.

UGH! If it were their child they would understand. A weekend can feel like an eternity but sending lots of positive vibes and prayer your way! And yes the ER is your ace in the hole should things deteriorate.

I stuck to my guns, called back and went straight to the doctor..
late at night but the first of three treatments is done. She just had a much needed dose of iron and is doing better.
A lot ahead for B though. They are reevaluating everything. Time to be strong and look forward to the best treatment.

thank-you all for the support..... it means so much!!!!:rosette1::rosette1::rosette1::rosette1::rosette1::rosette1::rosette1:

Glad she got the infusions
Kudos to you mom for sticking to your plan.
It will be ok
She has you

Oh Julie!i hate that Baylee has to suffer because some nurse is too lazy to follow up and GET the blasted paper work! I agree with what's been said..we visit if you can't get this resolved quickly! I am chronically anemic and get iron infusions too. When I need one, I feel horrible..so tired that putting one foot in front of another seems like a battle! My thinking gets pretty skewed too. I would absolutely call the doctor until I got results. You know me..I never want to be a 'difficult' patient but you know what that gets me?nada..zero!so i am learning to be assertive..it's hard not to be aggressive but that doesn't help either.
My love and prayers are always with you and Baylee!never give up..and I know you won't!loce to you all!cindy

Julie..you're a strong mama and woman!!so happy to hear Baylee got the infusion and they are reevaluating her care..you rock!!:rosette2:

Aren't the doctor's staff just the worst? Whenever I had issues it was always because of the staff. Glad to hear she is doing better, send my best Baylee's way.

Hang in there:ghug:
