Anyone had to undergo D&C for miscarriage and on Remicade(or any other Biologics)?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had D&C for miscarriage and are on Remicade or any other Biologics for any auto immune disorders. How was it to receive the Biologics after D&C? How soon could you take the Biologics after D&C and did you observe any new side effects?

I haven't been in that situation, but have had surgery (elbow) and also recently (early June) had UFE dohne (Uterine Fibroid Embolization) with no major side effects/infections.

Normally you stay on your regular infusion schedule unless you have an infection/are ill.....I try to schedule any medical procedures for about half way between infusions if I can, but that isn't always possible...I had an aneurysm embolized last year the week before my infusion, and even though I ended up in the ER 2x for pain management (spleen infarcted - I do NOT recommend that happening omg)....I still had my infusion done the following week with no issues.

thank you for your reply. Sorry to hear that you had to go through all other things apart from the auto immune stuff we have to deal with.My GI cleared me to go ahead with infusion once Ob-Gyn cleared me.
