Yikes!! My daughter was recently taken off Azathioprine+ Allopurinol after getting too many infections on it. I have to say, I was pretty relieved when she was taken off it.
 
What scares me is the part that it doesn't matter how long or short you've been on it. DS was on it for 6 months. :(

M was on it twice - each time for about a year :(. Last year we had a skin cancer scare and she had to have a mole removed (the biopsy showed it wasn't cancerous but it did double in size in a year).

I guess there's not much we can do now but wait and watch...
 
I have been on it for years. Right before Thanksgiving, I had a squamous cell cancer removed from my scalp. Should I contact my GI and see if there is an alternative?
