AZOTHIOPRINE and allergie

Just wanted to share a strange reaction to Azo.
I was on Azothioprine for Crohns and it seemed to be doing a good job of keeping my crohns in order.
I was and still married to my husband, which is a miracle. Over about a 5 year period i was on and off the Azo. But over these years my husband would get very sore on his private parts and i would accuse him of all sorts and march him off the the Dr's for tests...which always came back negative. I began to see a pattern and realised that when i was on the azo he would get very sore below...very red and pus filled blisters...and when i came off the azo he was fine.
We were both sent to a specialist who was intrested as to why and how this would happen. It took a couple of years for specialist to breakdown the azo and devise a test which would see which part my husband was allergic to...also they had to see how my body broke down the medicine....the result was that he was allergic to my secretions from the azo after being broke down in the digestive system.
So if any of you girls have boyfriends or husbands with sore bits...it may not be becuase he has been unfaithfull.... :(
