My wife has Crohn's. She has been on Humira for a few years. Quite a high dose, but works well for her. She is turning 65. Up to now her (huge) costs were covered by a combo of sources including her group insurance that ceases at age 65. From what I understand OHIP does not cover anymore Humira but the generics.
Is there anyone else in this situation? My questions:
1) Are all generics covered by OHIP? If so, which one works best? ( Amgevita® Hadlima® Hulio® Hyrimoz® Idacio® )
2) Is there a limit of how many shots OHIP covers? Does the limit kick in per month? per year?
All advice would be greatly appreciated.
