Can probiotic cause problems in a flare?

Has anyone had any experience with this? Probiotic have had a positive impact for me while in remission, but I think I may be heading into a flare and I'm wondering if they can do more harm than good. Any opinions?

I asked my G.I. that at the last visit. He always tells me that nothing you eat will further disease progression. You might have stomach pain, D, gas just as someone with out crohn's would but it is not going to cause a flare. I wish I had more practical experience for you I am new at all of this too. I would probably call on of the nurses at my son's G.I. office and ask to make sure. Hope it's not a flair and you are feeling better soon!
