Can't Wrap My Mind Around Enemas

I was prescribed Mesalamine 4GM/60ML Enema and I have no idea how will I use this. I dont want to use it but have no other choice I guess. Do I have to insert the whole thing because I really have an issue with putting anything in my arse. Has anyone done enemas before and can they shed some advice please

I'm currently having to do enemas to clear out mucus in my colon (have an ileostomy) They aren't too bad actually. If your not too comfortable with it just take your time, slowly insert and back off and reposition if you feel too much discomfort.

Take your time, use a lubricant on the tip, it helps. I am the same way about putting things in my butt.
