Colonscopy too soon?

Hi

I have positive calprotectin test and inflammation in gut for 2 months now.
pentasa and entocort help some.
did many stool tests and stool was always negative to bacteria.
GI specialist says its IBD.

They are willing to do a colonscopy.
But isnt this too soon?
I mean.. Its just in his mild stage and im slowing down the inflammation with meds. Maybe they do a colonscopy and im pretty sure they wont see a thing abnormal. Its just 2 months and i was on the meds after 5 days of active disease. Pentasa did slow it down after 2 days.

Even when they do a biopsy..
can they diagnose crohn or UC? even if the damage is so small?? and covered by the meds?

I also have another immune disease.
ITS 100% sure its crohn or UC.
the UC or crohn is triggered by campylobacter the weeks before.

greets ken

I don't know about your other circumstances but I think it's definitely a good idea to have the colonoscopy so they see what's happening. The fact that you are responding to meds probably means there was/is something there. Good luck with it, and if you're worried about the actual colonoscopy it's not that bad, at least you might get some more answers so it's worth it. Good luck!
