Is there a name for that type of ultrasound I'll see what they say, but I doubt they even support ultrasound technique I never saw it listed on the websiteThey are now doing ultrasound with contrast instead with success in some cases
Might be worth asking
My kiddo is allergic to contrast and gadolidium so even the ultrasound isn’t the best image
Thanks for the links, seems the NHS isn't aware of it. I'll email my consultant on it. He's suggested CT scan which I didn't want so I'm waiting for colonscopy but I think a scan would still be needed. They never seem to suggest ultrasound here in the UK at least not with the contrast technique. Not sure just that is a special crohns specific ultrasound and the tech /radiologist has to be trained specifically to do it

Exploring uses of ultrasound in monitoring and treating IBD
Ultrasound imaging has long been used in healthcare to evaluate, diagnose, and monitor disease. According to the U.S.www.crohnscolitisfoundation.org
I see so mre is likely unavoidable, thanks for the advice. Is pill cam as effective given it only sees surface level inflammation, seems a bit redundant if having mreFor soft tissue MRE is far superior to cte and Less radiation
Colonoscopy really can’t tell the whole picture like his the small intestine look (20 ft of them )
So imaging is a must as well as a capsule endoscopy (pill cam )
Ultrasound is very very new started in Australia a few years ago
Just moved to the US in limited areas so not wide spread here either
Good luck
