Crohn's at a youth

I'm new to this forum and would like to share my story. Around Easter I had began to suffer from abdominal pains and bloody stools. Unlike most teens I kept it hidden from my mother because I was more worried about my finals than my own health. When the school year ended I told my mother what I was going through and we set an appointment with my doctor. They ran blood work and did an ultra sound ,but couldn't find out what was wrong. My doctor then recommended me to a specialist. A few days later I go to get a scope. The doctors ended up finding a bleeding ulcer and Crohn's in my upper and lower intestines. When I was sick I dropped weight from around 120 to 101. Luckily the doctor got me on the right medication and I am on the road to recovery as we speak.

Hi and welcome.
I have a 6 year old with this disease.
I'm so glad you're feeling better.
I pray it continues a long while.
