Replace his briefs with boxers. I don't know of any meds that have a history of lowering sperm counts. They say it can happen with anabolic steroids. I don't know if that also applies to corticolsteroids (pred). Low sperm counts can result from... briefs Vs boxers, hot baths, riding a bicycle, pre-existing conditions. In theory, inflammation close to his groin might elevate body temperature in that area lowering sperm counts over time, but that is a real stretch. Cold baths, less clothing in the affected area (going commando), diet, supplements... you would really need to consult with a fertility specialist to learn all the ins/outs. However, there is an upside. Lower risk of heart attack, stroke, coronary artery disease... fewer emotional swings... lots of good things associated with lower counts. A specialist may be able to come up with a way to raise his count (for a while) OR collect/keep enough sperm so that pregnancy (even if by insemination) is viable. OK?
