Entocort/Budesonide help

So, the cost of a prescription of Budesonide just went from $20 to $500 for me due to insurance reclassifying it as a "specialty" Tier 3 drug.
Are there any alternatives??
$500 each refill is gonna be tough to swing.

Budesonide is the generic for Entocort which should be cheaper. One time I did have an instance where the brand name was cheaper than the generic so you could ask how much Entocort is instead of Budesonide. Did you speak with your insurance company and ask if they need anything for them to cover more of the drug? If they won't budge then your alternative would be Prednisone which is very cheap but has more side effects. You could also try contacting the manufacturer if you don't want to take Prednisone to see if there's anything they can do. Johnson and Johnson helps with covering certain prescriptions if you qualify so you could try them as well.
