I've been on Entyvio for a year and a half or more, and for the most part I'm pleased with it. I have a lot less psoriasis for one thing. But occasionally even when I'm avoiding my triggers I get diarrhea. And then it stays around. A while back I tried Imodium to stop it and it did amazingly well. Now there are times when I take it once or twice a week just to stay away from the bathroom. Is this Entyvio not doing it's job?? Is there any problem with taking Imodium this frequently??

You shouldn't need to be taking imodium if Entyvio is working fully. Have you mentioned this to your GI. It could be that your dosage might need adjusting.

I did mention this to my GI doc and he said if it helps that's fine. I still only take it once a week or once every 10 days. The issue, said my GI doc, ISN'T that Entyvio may not be perfect, it's that every time you change your biologic the new one is less effective (Entyvio is my second biologic after having much greater side effects from Humira). I still have some skin problems, but he said if you can tolerate the side effects it pays in the long run.
