Hi, I'm suffering from very bad fatigue since when i was diagnosed earlier this year. I've had my blood done and Iron/b12 and everything is ok. Does anyone know what might be causing the tiredness? Currently just on prednisone and pentasa. Thanks :)

Hi and welcome. Sorry to hear your so tired. I also have extreme fatigue with good blood results. Just having inflammation can cause fatigue because youre immune system is over active. You've also been recently diagnosed. That's a lot to take in.

Sending you my support. Hope you start feeling better soon.

Hello I am new to this site and I just want to give back the "Life Saving" information that was passed to me on one of these forums. I was struggling with going on and off Pred for years. Doctor diagnosis was Moderate case of UC in the upper part of Colon. I knocked down my last flare up with Prednisone 18months ago and started taking Slippery Elm Tree powder. No Pred since 2-2013. I take 1 tablespoon mixed with 6 ounces of warm water add honey if desired for taste in between meals and b4 bed. I live a normal life again, bathroom once a day like normal people and no pain or discomfort. I urge everyone to try it. Read up and get better! Slippery Elm Tree Bark Powder!!!!

JuliA, yea flare ups make you exhausted! Once the flare up is over try the natural supplements like I talked about earlier. New diagnosis is allot to take in but diet plays a big roll w fatigue and I find that exercise helps allot also. Good luck any questions please ask :)

I'm like DJW very extreme fatigue and weakness with no indication as to why in the blood tests I have.
