Fibromyalgia

fibromyalgia

hi peeps!
my biopsy results have come back clear with no evidence of IBD. which is obviously good news.. but im still feeling a little low.

all my GP keeps talking about is anxiety - but that cant raise my CRP levels surely!?! and i had to set things straight with him - I ONLY GET UPSET WHEN DISCUSSING MY HEALTH - i do suffer with stress/anxiety/depression at times.. but right now thats not my biggest issue! so now he thinks i have fibromyalgia.. and i have an appointment next friday to discuss this.

im just fed up of constantly feeling unwell. HOWEVER, i must admit the "toilet situation" and stomach pains have improved lots lately. but im struggling to stay awake past 8pm. i have flashing in my left eye (my optician couldnt find anything wrong) and my joints ache most of the time.
i also have some bladder issues and incredibly itchy skin all over (but no rash, except on my fingers)
and i also get bouts of confusion and i cant concentrate on anything

im just so tired about it all its untrue!

"To be diagnosed with fibromyalgia, you must have had at least 3 months of widespread pain, and pain and tenderness in at least 11 of 18 areas, including: Arms (elbows), Buttocks, Chest, Knees, Lower back, Neck, Rib cage, Shoulders,Thighs" http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001463/

Sound like you? Can you ask to see a specialist since he's just general medicine?

Your CRP levels may be raised from a number of issues, even arthritis. And x-ray on and area that constantly has issues will rule out arthritis or confirm it.

My anxiety would be high too if I didn't have a concrete diagnosis. If they refuse to send you to a specialist than perhaps you could find a new GP who will (even if this isn't the first GP you went to).
