French boyfriend seeking help for his girl

Dear everyone,

first things first, this is my first post and I'm 32 and from France and though I'm speaking english quite well, my girl friend does not at all so I'm seeking for help and advice for her. So I apologize if this is not the right subforum.

I met her some months ago and learned about her Crohn disease and support her to meet specialists in France. But it seems to me that french speaking websites and documentation on the web is unsufficient and forums not as active as the english speaking ones.

This is why I come here.

My girldfriend has appointments with doctors in the next weeks but we'll be interrested in learning more, especially concerning fistulas.

She does not know at all if she has fistulas because her previous docs didn't take care of her seriously and/or are not Crohn specialists.

When we have sex together, either vagina and/or anal, she generally gets infections, despite the fact I'm totally sane. For example, when we do anal sex only (penis and/or fingers) she gets vagina infection and vice versa.

Do you think it could be caused by fistulas ? As I understand fistulas are tunnels between body organs which may contain infections/bacteries, etc... that may go in the vagina and/or anus during sex and produce these infections.

Last week-end we had sex again, and since then, she gets blood when peeing and it's very dolorous.

What do you think about it ?

Thanks for your kind help,
Olinell.

Hi and welcome to the forum! :welcome:

I'm afraid that I am not familiar with fistulas. But, I am sending you a couple of websites that I found in french and a couple that you might be able to translate for your girlfriend. We have a wonderful support area here for partners, family & friends of those with IBD. I hope you'll feel free to look around and please let me know if you have any questions! Xxxx
