Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help me, I've recently moved to Vancouver, BC.

I have a referral to see a GI Specialist but I'm looking for a family doctor. I'm based downtown (West End) and would really like someone who has some exposure to IBD.

Thanks in advance!
Kyle :)

If you can't find a doctor in your city, and you don't have enough time for searching for one, I can recommend making an online appointment with the doctor. I am also a doctor and I am making only online sessions because it is very dangerous to be a doctor because of the COVID-19. The risks of getting infected at a medical center are very high, especially if you are a doctor and in contact with hundreds of people every day. In the past, I wanted to be a dentist, and I am very happy that I didn't become one, because I wouldn't have the possibility to work from home.

I'm also looking for a good GP in Vancouver. We are planning to move there, and I want to have some contacts just in case
Hi Abigail,

It took me some time as I couldn't seem to find a GP willing to take on new patients. I now have a Nurse Practitioner rather than a GP and he does a great job. I'm registered at Seymour Health Centre on Hornby Street (downtown). Highly recommended!
