Help Finding Samples

Location
Kirkwood,
:bigwave:Hello Everyone--11 days and counting until abdominoperineal surgery. Okay, obviously I have no clue what ostomy appliance I will be using, but I wondered if anyone had numbers that I could call ahead of time to obtain free samples? I am not sure of all of the brands available, and what better people to ask! From what I gather, it will be trial and error for a bit. I am trying to get everything in order prior to surgery, so I can go under the knife with as few worries as possible. Had an appointment with the surgeon yesterday, said I would be in the hospital about a week. Just ready to get it over with! I so appreciate everyone @ this site--you are all so wonderful, educated, and understanding. Thanks!!!!!:mademyday:

Hollister: 1-888-740-8999 (In the United States, the Hollister Consumer Programs Team is available from 8:00am - 5:00pm (Central time) Monday through Friday.)

Coloplast: 1-888-726-7872 Consumer Care Specialists are available Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (CST)

Convatec: 1-800-422-8811 They didn't list their hours on the site, but I would imagine that they're business hours Monday to Friday.

Hope this helps! And good luck with your surgery! Keep us posted :) Also, feel free to ask any questions, we have a pretty good group here...

Snap, I hope you have a stoma nurse? You will need one!

Your stoma will shrink for the first couple months, so dont order a pre cut wafer from any of the supply companies. Then again, I expect they will tell you that as well.
