Help

Im leanne im 24 and for about 2 yrs I have had a feeling I have some form of IBD. I have agonising cramps when I have to go to the toilet, constant tiredness ulscers in my mouth and (prepare yourself this has to honestly be the worst thing I have had to admitt in my life) I cant make it to the toilet in time I literally have a 10 second warning and bam its there. I dont leave the house anymore, i have a small baby & the only time he goes out is when my partner is off work, but I still feel like my partner doesnt understand. Hes extremely supportive but hes like "just go to the doctor!" im just really embarrassed to go to the doctors. I know my doctor personally. But nothing can embarrass me more than the fact my bestfriend was moving and I agreed to help her on her 4hr journey. I pooed myself 5x on that trip. Im humiliated! I had to walk into service stations in my pjs! My friend was mortified and didnt help me feel any better. We laughed at the time but little did she know its nt that im sick its a frequent thing I always have to be next to a toilet. I want my life back all i do is sit and cry constantly! Are there others out there who poop themselves?

Hi Leanne :)
I'm sure most ppl on this forum (inc me yesterday!) have had accidents or very close calls! I have crohns & when I've gotta go boy do I need to get to a toilet quick! Maybe you need to see a gastroenterologist so your dr might refer you to one. They will prib want to do a colonoscopy to see what's going on in your bowels so they can diagnose you properly & treat you accordingly. There is loads of support on this forum

Thank you. Im just really nervous about it all. Ive became extremely anxious since my symptoms have got worse!

Hi and welcome. Sorry you're going through this. You are definitely not alone.

You really need to see a GI specialist. There is nothing you can say that they haven't heard before. You can get treatment.

Sending you my support.

Thank you for the encouragement. I guess its nice to know sometimes your not alone. And... I finally made my all important doctors oppointment. I go tommorrow! Wish me luck!
