No worries Hilary. Your english is far far better than my Italian which is pretty much non existant 😕. Please dont apologise for your english, when we as a whole dont learn any other language..
I for one am pretty impressed by your ability in english.
Glad your feeling good about this forum. It really is a great place to talk to people who really know and understand how each other feels. I find that really helps a lot.
Take care 💕💕

Thank you for your answer.. sure i try to explain something about me ( there is a post ) and sorry for my english.. I'm 35 years old and I live in Italy.. I had some intestinal problems since i have 16 years old but then the symptons disapperead and there were not as important as now.. In 2008 i started to have big abdomen and colics after i eat.. i made a gastroscopy in 2008 which said duedonitis erosive, a colonscopy with biopsies which said colitis eosinophilic and asca igg positive.. I tried clipper but no results.. the doctors said it is a rare disease.. the after the years i started to have a lot of pain on legs and now shoulders.. and colitis and dissentery increase.. so i have had recently a recovery for ibd and i made a gastroscopy ( less represented the villi in duedonum waiting for the biopsies ) and a colonscopy negative waiting for the biopsies.. and i will do a pill cam.. and and the visual image see the infiammation of sigma increase iperechigenicity and loss of stratification. I have colics after i eat and a lot of pain on shoulders. I have osteoporosis and entesitis. I fear that here the doctors will not find what i have! A lot of time withou a diagnosis and now i don t know what think. I'm here in an international forum becouse i love american and uk people i think they are more open mind and more informed. Thank you so much for your help.

You are right. i have lost the hope.. i don't live for so many time.. my mother insisted every day for months to bring me to Others doctors to find help so finally i find out a doctor who decided for the recovery.. here it is very hard to have a recovery it is not like the usa or uk with insurance.. the health is free a part some visit that i can do in private.. so in the hospital they are all full.. there are only people neat to Death.. afte 10 days they get me home becouse in the hospital there were people with blood in the lanes of the department.. but now i must be strong and continue to search and if they don t find i will go in a private clinic.. i cannot pass the rest of my life close in the home.. sometimes i have a bit fear they don t belive me but i must be strong to answer them in the good way! I lost the hope couse to the doctors but now i must find a solution. to read your comments give me a lot of hope that i m must go on to find what i have. Thank you

I know what you mean. I also felt that i was not believed for a long while too. Here in the uk the treatment is free. But when i was recovering from both of my surgeries for crohns, i could not get help to pay the bills from the goverment and am still paying off debits incured during that time. It is really bad news when a person cannot afford to be ill ..
I do so hope you can get a diagnosis and the right help.
💕x

Hi Hilary - where in Italy do you live? If you are in the north I know of some excellent IBD specialist doctors in both Padua and Genoa that I can recommend.

Hi Hilary,

The IBD specialist I know of in Padua is Dottor Edoardo Savarino, gastroenterologo. He is at the university hospital.

If you are looking for a new doctor or a second opinion you may wish to consider him.
